Recipe: Powerballs

These powerballs require zero baking – which means zero excuses. They are super simple and form a great fuel booster when you’re on the go during the day. What’s more is the basic recipe is gluten-free and vegan and you can add whatever you like to the mix – coconut, dried fruits, nuts…anything you’ve got a flavour for!

Ingredients:

1x cup gluten free oats
1/2 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter you wish)
1/4 cup agave nectar (or honey or maple syrup)
1 tbs. coconut oil
1 tbs. chia seeds
2 tbs. flax seeds
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Feel free to add any extras like chocolate chips, coconut, dried fruits or nuts

To serve:

  1. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together thoroughly.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes.
  3. With your hands, roll the mixture into balls.
  4. Place the bites into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator so they keep their form (they should keep for around a week)
